It is no small wonder that cashmere is one of the most precious and prized commodities in the world. It comes from the downy under fleece of the Cashmere goat which makes its home in the highest plateau of Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang. Each year one goat produces a meager 4.5 oz. of under fleece, which is painstakingly combed out every spring by nomadic herdsmen. It takes the hair of one goat to make a scarf, approximately two for a ladies sweater depending on the weight; 60% of each fleece is discarded. However, it is what happens next that makes the difference between run-of-the-mill and quality cashmere.

Produced from “Grade A” cashmere, Reunited Clothing’s cashmere is highly developed and vertically integrated. Our cashmere capabilities range from 3gg to 14gg with cutting-edge technical execution that includes printing, embellishment, novelty stitch, cabling, tipping, color-blocking and intarsias.

This vertically integrated model allows us to produce all cashmere components for our clients; yarn, spinning, dyeing and a beautifully finished product. Yarns start with our basic 2/26’s one end 2-ply and can increase according to each individual client’s request.

We strongly believe in the best aesthetic at the best value and therefore apply a cost engineering strategy tailored to each of our customer’s needs.

Cashmere has become a passion for us at Reunited Clothing over the last several years and we will continue to expand it to all of our divisions.
